We managed to get three more songs laid down yesterday, but then discovered that Tim is going to be on holiday for the rest of the month. As Northbook college term ends by then, we won’t be able to use the students to do our recording until next term. So, we have got six tracks laid down, but are three short for the album. So, unfortunately the release date will have to be postponed until Octoberish. I also learned that once we have had it recorded by the studio, we will have to have it mastered. Don’t really understand this, but it’s about making the noise levels of the instruments the same apparently. We wouldn’t have been able to do this until the students are back next term anyway, so as it happens it doesn’t matter that we haven’t done the last three songs, it would have had to have waited anyway. This time at the studio was a bit weird because I was n the control room singing, while the rest of the band were playing in the studio. So we could wave at each other through the glass and talk through Nick’s and my mike. Lots of false start with us not being able to hear each other’s instruments, bits not recording files getting corrupted. But in the end we managed to lay down, Hey Hey, End Of The Line and Baby You Are Not For Me. Need to think of a name for the album, Mikey has suggested ‘Strangled’, but I think that’s tongue in cheek. Or at least I hope so anyway. Robert had some problems in the recording studio as after a while the notes on his keyboard strted to become greasey and his fingers were sliding off. Greasy fingers? What’s that about?
