We might have got ourselves a new drummer, a guy called Steve. Mikey did some sterling work and found him through Band Mix. He is due to turn up on Sunday for band practice. Let’s see if he does, if he’s keen and the right fit. Fingers crossed that I’ll be able to enthuse about him after Sunday. If not it’ll be back to the drawing board and inertia, as we scrabble around looking for anyone prepared to hit things in rhythm. The Coalition of Chaos are not going to get a Christmas song done in time for Christmas. Can’t release it then until a year’s time. Bloody Christmas songs, you have to wait until Christmas…I broached with Shaggy the idea of doing a whole album of Christmas songs, he’s unsure if this works, as it would only sell at Christmas. I said that was the point. I reckon I could pull together ideas for a whole album, as we’ve got ideas for three tracks already. Writing is going well, Auto Incorrect is being dismantled and re-edited at writers group. Second one Saffron Walden I’ve finished the second draft and sent it out to my mate Fiona, she did a great job of beta reading the first novel. Saffron Walden is a working title, but not sure what to call it. In the running are titles such as, Also Known As, Ringer and A Life Worth Living. Can’t decide, perhaps I should put it to a popular vote. Just finished first novel The Harvest, which is being read by Nina and Arianne. Can’t wait to get their comments back. So now I have a month of not writing much, which means I should be able to cobble together some more songs. Then in November comes the dreaded NaNoWriMo. More of that later.
