I’m doing what we’re all doing, sitting at home whiling away the time. I’ve been a bit creative, not as much as I should, but a bit nonetheless. Nick sent me some lyrics to do with his take on the epidemic. So I wrote a chorus, and chucked it all into a tune. It’s called The Spoils, it’s our first song written in these Covid times and it might be a runner. I’ve sent my ideas back to Nick to see what he thinks. Other than that, we had Let’s Party played on Radio Reverb, and a blogger called Barbara Fava fmx has put Nice Guys into a playlist. She’s got over 21,000 listeners on Instagram, so let’s hope some of them listen to it. I’ve started writing again after another hiatus. What prompted this was to keep a record of Covid19, as these are Very strange times. The knock on effect is that I’ve re-started my fourth novel “The Thirteenth.” On revisiting it I was pleasantly surprised that I’d already written 25,00p words, because I thought I had done much less. So all positive. I think I’ll try to write one, decent new song each week during lockdown. That way by the end of it I should have an album’s worth. Don’t think I mentioned previously that we’ve got a cracking live version of Let’s Party up on YouTube courtesy of my old friend Kieran Conlon. He shot it at our album launch party back in November. It seems to be getting its own momentum on YouTube, so let’s see how well it does.
